Seed offers a 5 year B Arch course and is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. The sanctioned intake per year is 40.

As a profession that deals with the study and Design of habitats, Architecture is a meta-discipline and has a strong relation to the Humanities as compared to a technical course. It demands considerable self motivation from the individual student. Apart from the core subject of Architectural Design, the course content ranges from technical subjects such as Structural Design, Environmental science, Acoustics, Quantity survey and Disaster management mitigation to humanities such as History, Sociology, Philosophy and Literature. The course also provides strong management training to the students on areas such as Professional Practice, Project management, Public speaking and Peer learning and exposes the student to various vocational skills such as Carpentry, Fabrication, digital techniques and Photography. The B Arch course provides a strong foundation for a variety of specializations such as Product Design, Graphics, City Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Parametric Design etc.

seed emphasizes individual centric learning and is committed to moulding rounded individuals who are strong advocates of humanism and environmental sensitivity. Seed programs are deeply rooted in ecological consciousness and specifically target to nurture professionals who are passionately committed to the wellbeing of the community and having a strong sense of social responsibility. The school explores multiple options to create a highly engaging learning environment. The core subject Architectural Design is led by architects who run critically significant practices and virtual learning is used as a tool to create a pan national and global network of tutors and knowledge creation.

seed will soon fulfill its commitment of being a fully sustainable residential campus and the hostel block construction is set to commence soon. Girls and boys hostel is expected to be functional by the middle of the upcoming academic year 2020-21. Until then students’ accommodation is being organized and monitored by the seed management outside the campus with provision for transportation twice daily.

All candidates who have:

  1. passed examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.
  2. Qualified NATA – the National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council of Architecture

Both of the above shall carry 50% weightage in the matter of admissions.

Admission for the new batch of 2020 will be announced as soon as the Council publishes the annual academic calendar. The Prospectus and admission form can be downloaded from the website. The form needs to be filled up and uploaded to the site to be eligible for selection to the management seats.
