Shruti is a native of Kochi and is a young passionate architect making her foray into the world of Architectural academics at seed through her pet subject Climate-responsive architecture. She completed her B.Arch from Bishop Jerome School of Architecture, Kollam in 2018. Soon after her bachelors, she joined the Masters course in Sustainable Architecture at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture, Pune which she completed recently. She is an accredited professional with the Indian Green Building Council and has also been associated with TERI, The Energy and Resources Institute (Southern Regional Centre, Bengaluru). She has also worked with Roy Antony Architects and RGB Architecture Studio as an intern. Currently, she is working as an architect at Design Desk, a Kochi based Architecture Firm.
She considers sustainability in architecture to be a holistic concept, integral to ways of living and thus evolving as a lifestyle. Her core lies in working for passive and active design strategies by the mode of technical calculations and simulation outcomes. As a Research assistant, Shruti hopes to make seed her new laboratory.
